'Christmas in Fallujah'

Never been a Billy Joel fan, but he's penned a great new tune, now a YouTube favorite, called "Christmas in Fallujah," sung by Cass Dillon, 21, an unknown from Billy's native Long Island. Joel said it's based on letters he's received from the troops and he wanted a young guy about the age of many of the soldiers in Iraq to sing it. Net proceeds to Home for Our Troops. Of course, he could have called it "We Didn't Start the Fire." I posted it once before, but on Christmas, here it is again.

I loved it. We need to hear more songs like this.

Fallujah, 2004, was the closest thing to Dresden that has happened in OIF. To make matters worse, U.S. Engineers copied the Zionist tactics used in bulldozing Jenin, to hide the war crimes.
There's NOTHING progressive in Christmas in Fallujah. It's a story of our kids being "good Germans".
It's really very pathetic to see producer B. Joel stoop to such a crass level. Joel has obviously seen the sales numbers that Kid Rock has racked up, by pandering to the million or so Americans who've been thru OIF, knowing if half of them buy Christmas in Fallujah, it will go "gold".
The REALLY BIG $$$ is in "ring tones". Joel is a money grubbing scumbag. He could have written something that was positive. He didn't. End of story.
The MOST interesting thing is Halliburton, and other energy companies buy space on the websites that promote Christmas in Fallujah.
Billy Joel, like so many top folks in the recording industry, has sold out.
